Ingredients

Original recipe makes 2 13x9-inch cakes' filling

  •  1 cup water
  •  3 tablespoons cornstarch
  •  2 1/2 cups frozen strawberries, thawed and cut into bite size pieces
  •  3/4 cup white sugar


Directions

  1. Whisk water and cornstarch together in a large saucepan.
  2. Stir strawberries and sugar into the water.
  3. Cook strawberry mixture over medium heat until thick, about 10 minutes.
  4. Allow to cool completely before use.
